Solaris "Xenon - like" Bulb for the Fogs
I have Factory Xenon headlights on my SLK. I do not like the fact that the
fogs lamps are of the standard type as the lights do not match in color.
A simple solution is to get "xenon-like" bulbs.
They are cheap (about $60) and look similar (but not the same) as xenon lights.
Here is how to install new bulbs on a sport package SLK. You need H3 bulbs.

In each front wheel well is a door just behind the fog lamps. Open them up and you will find what looks like
the photo on the top right. Disconnect the blue plug and flip down the retaining clip.
The grey cover can now be removed.

Pull out the wire that connects to the bulb. Disconnect this wire as shown. There are two clips that hold
the bulb in place. Open them and the bulb can be removed. Remember never to touch the surface of the bulb.
Reverse the process to install the new bulbs.

Here is a comparison of the stock bulb (left) and the Solaris bulb (right).

The left picture has the Solaris bulb and the right has the stock bulb. The photo does not completely
show the difference but the new Solaris bulb is definitely closer in color to the car's headlamps.
